James Marshall Ramsey is an American U.S. Army Veteran turned Model & Photographer. He was born October 5, 1980 in Portland, Oregon. James is of Scottish Irish decent. He attended Estacada High School, then entered into the delayed entry program for the U.S. Army. While serving in the U.S. Army, Ramsey worked his way up to Sargent. After serving 6 years, he was honorably discharged. Upon arriving home, James was involved in a motorcycle accident which left him with a shattered pelvis, and a right leg above the knee amputation. After learning to live his life as an amputee, Ramsey then attended Portland’s Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts for 18 months receiving an Associates’s Degree. He had perfect attendance and graduated with honors. After completing his associate’s degree, he then attended vocational welding classes at Portland Community college. In 2015, James was discovered by Michael Stokes photography and was featured in multiple publications of his fine art photography. James has appeared on the cover of many romance novels, across every major tattoo publication, and has appeared on the hit IFC show Portlandia and TLC Say Yes To The Dress. These days you can find him settling into his new home in the country with his business partner and fiancé, Heidi Lavon.
